I am trying to help Hilton Hunt and his wife(her maiden name is Hopper) find their people. I told them that I had talked to my 75 year old dad about Hopper's in the area. He is the one who told me about Bertie and his wife. Anyway I sure hope he gets in touch with you soon because you are just what he is looking for-family!

Hope I did not offend you as my sister is Wanda Griffin Guerrero, and I have some very beautiful nieces and nephews. I was raised in Smiley and my best friend was Rosa Garcia. I too was ostracized. I was raised in Ca. for the first 10 years of my life and then my dad retired from the navy and moved us to his parents cattle ranch near Davy and Mound Creek. When we got here in 63 it was pretty bad, the prejudicism I mean. But I never was real popular and didn't care.
