Classification: Query
Surnames: Lobdell, Minnerly
Sidney moved with his father from Taberg, Oneida Co., NY to Illinois in 1857 to a small town situated on the Illinois Central Railroad, in Iroquois Co. He enlisted for the Civil War Aug 26, 1862, 113th Regiment Illinois Vol. He was wounded in the left elbow at the battle of Chichasawby in Feb 1863 and sent up the Mississippi river to Jefferson barracks, Missouri and was then transferred to the VRC and attached to the Hospital service and charge of "Ward F" until the close of the war when he was mustered out of service. He was a merchant and farmer, residing at Bowie, Texas.
In the 1880 census he was in E.D. 102 Denton Texas with his wife Eliza Jane Minerly Lobdel and his two sons William and Herbert.
I'd like to know death date and burial place of Sidney and his wife. Does anyone have connections to this family???
I'd love to hear from you. I have this Lobdell way back and would be glad to share.
