William Clemmie Oats and Esta Adair had two sons, W. S. Oats and Marion Oats. The two sons were my father's favorite cousins.
It is a surprise to learn that so many of the Oats settled out in West Texas from Delta County. My father, Hugh W. Akard's mother, Martha Elizabeth Adair Akard-is the sister of Esta Adair Oats.
Esta encouraged Martha and her sons to move to Lubbock County.
Can someone tell me when and where Marion Oats died? Also, is W.S. still living? Last I heard, he was in Midland, TX.
