Several websites seem to refer to this as the Dallas City Cemetery. From what I can tell on the map, it seems to be wedged between a bunch of commercial buildings. Good Luck!

Family info on James Watson 1852 links back to James Watson 1624 with wills and all info. Looking for Casser info on a new machine( old one just quit) trying windows 8 and really don't like it But faster than old one. There are so many leads on Casser Family but most go astray. Like reference above.

Agree! Definitely not the same lady. Elvira, that's buried in Cherokee County, was still in Faulkner, AR as of 1917. Her husband, T. B. Wood, expired 15 Nov 1916 and she applied for a widow's pension the following year. Don't think a Texas Death Certificate exists for her? If I understand the second post correctly, it is a list of all records in the Dallas Public Library that might link to the Elvira Douglas burried in Cherokee Co. Texas who died in 1918.
If that is the case, I can tell you that the last listing regarding the marriage of John F. Barksdal to Elmira Sullivan in Bradley Co. Arkansas in 1850 will not lead to the person in question. Elmira, aka Almira, Alvinia etc. in varioius census records is my great grandmother and she died in Dallas in 1881 while married to Edmund Steiner, her third husband. I have additional information if anyone is interested.

No death certificate found for Elvira died 08 Jan 1918 under Douglas or Wood. I am guessing that Ira Douglas was the responsible party for burying his mother.

Based on 2 death certificates for sons Hindman Cicero Douglas and Ira Sylvester Douglas her maiden name was Sullivan married unknown Craig then Jesse Douglas in Conway Co AR 1858 as Elvira Craig.

The Elias I was chasing was the son of James Watson 1852
It all looked pretty good until I found he had died intestate. He left a nice Plantation and acreage but only to his siblings. Thus try, try again.

However she had married a Thomas Woodin 1906 in Ark. so I am not sure which name her death record would be under. Also I do not know which county her death occured in. Elias died 1926 and Carrie found: 1930 GA-Upson-Blackankle-District 2-Image 2 and 1940 GA-Troup-La Grange-(141-15)-Image 1 with son, Enoch.

Iam looking for information on Neverson G. Orsborn Mississippi born about 1880. His daughter Ida Mae married Roy J. Donaldson.around 1910.
Ida Mae died in Dallas, Texas 4 Aug. 1931, and is buried in the Grove Hill Cemetery. She had 8 siblings, would there be any descendants of her. I only know six of their names, John, James, Alice, Mary, Addie and Otto.

Texas was then and is now a dual registration state which means the local registrars retain a copy of all birth and death records for the events that take place within their jurisdiction and the state retains the original of all birth and death records for the entire State of Texas. However, the statutes for registering these events were not made mandatory until 1926. However, many local registrars did not adhere to the statutes until the late 1930’s or early 1940’s. This means some records reside only in the local registrars’ files and not with the State.

Hi, thanks for responding, I have his genealogy, but just recently ran across his name in someone else's genealogy on Ancestry.com and all it states is Albert Rushing Boggus died abt. 1989. I know Albert was alive in 2002, as he sent me an email when his father passed away.

He is my cousin - our common ancestor is Elijah Lansen Boggus.

If he really is gone, I am looking for some information as to what date he died and possibly the cause of death. There is no info in Social Security Death Index. I am at a total loss!

Do you think, maybe, this is some kind of sick joke someone is playing? I don't know, but it is quite disturbing, to say the least! Any help locating Albert would be most appreciated!

What's your source for the date of his demise? Albert was born to James Howell Boggus (1 Feb 1914 - 11 Feb 2002) and Verna Wright (1 Feb 1911 - 28 Jul 1999). Older sister, Linda Sue was born 1 May 1941. The father's obit indicates both siblings were survivors.
