Hello and thank you for your help!

I have a Great Uncle: Arthur Dee Mitchell who died in 1973 in Dallas. His death certificate and my relatives said he owned a "Mitchell's Grocery": in Mesquite or Grannate Shoals. I know I misspelledthe second towns name. It may of been in Dallas. He lived in Mesquite, Texas. His ownership would be between the years 1940-1960+

Can anyone help me on this? I want to find a record of the store, and I so would like to have a picture of it. I believe his mother, Mary Rebecca willed it to him in 1941 when she died.

Where the store was located is VERY important. Arthur died Dec. 15, 1973, Dallas. The store was probably mentioned in his obituary.

There is a volunteer who looks up obituaries at Random Acts Genealogical Kindness. Go to www.raogk.org, read guidelines, choose Texas, choose Dallas County.

Post your query again after you find out exactly where it's located. If his obituary doesn't state where the store was located, I'll supply historical contacts for both locations.
