Estes, 92, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of the Nazarene with the
Rev. Jimmye Cole, pastor, and the Rev. Jerry Davis, pastor of
Peoples Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home.
Mr. Estes was born and raised in Allison. In 1943, he moved to Dalhart
where he farmed and ranched until retiring. For a few years, he operated a
livestock auction at Vinita, Okla. He was a member of the Church of the
Nazarene.
He married
Madge Brown in 1971.
Survivors include his wife; two sons,
Horace Estes of Dalhart and
Vestal
Estes of Siloam Spring, Ark.; a daughter,
Madge Helen Riherd of
Dalhart; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Purcell J. K. Tomlinson was born in
Clark County,
Illinois August 22, 1869 and passed away May 26, 1946 at the age of 76 years, 9 months aand 4 days in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Vance
Estes of Dalhart,
Texas.
He was united in marriage to
Sallie Giddens, March 3, 1903 at Weatherfordd,
Oklahoma.
Eight years ago he confessed Jesus
Christ and was baptized. Before he passed away he said he expected to meet his loved ones in Heaven and asked them not to weep.
His son,
Jasper preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his wife, three daughters, Mrs. J. Ray Holland of
Portales, New Mexico, Mrs. Ralph Taylor of
Spearman,
Texas, Mrs. Vance
Estes of Dalhart,
Texas. Two sons,
Sherman Giddens, Mt. Vernon,
Arkansas and
Norvell Gidden of Allison,
Texas. Several grandchildren and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, were held Monday, May 27th, 1946 at the Assembly of God Church, Reydon by Rev. J.S. Veach of
Cheyenne. Interment was in White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County,
Oklahoma.
