My paternal great-grandparents, George Perry Hughes and Dora Jane Hughes migrated from Perry County, Alabama to Comanche County and are listed in the Proctor census of 1900. My great uncle, Andrew Jackson Hughes (1894 - 1917), is buried in Proctor Cemtery.
