I am the one who put the antique photo of the funeral at the Meyer family cemetery on the Colorado County USGenweb site. I still don't know who's funeral it is, but I have a clue that I am persuing. I, too, have had suspicions that the various Meyer families in the Colorado/Fayette county area are related. There are entries in the Trinity and Zoar Lutheran Church baptismal records (online at Nesbitt Memorial Library's site, also Fayette County USGenweb) where there are Meyers who are the sponsors to my family's baptisms, and I don't have the sponsor's name in my database. I along with several other Meyer researchers have compiled quite an extensive database, so it would be quite a coup to be able to link the various other Meyer families together. I am descended from Johann and Maria Find Meyer through their son, J. Daniel. Maria Find Meyer's parents are buried in the Meyer cemetery. The tall tombstone in the foreground of the photo is theirs. My theory about the family linkage is that Johann Meyer had at least one brother, maybe more, and that is our link. I think we need to make contact. Can't hurt!
