Looking for descendants of or information on this Dobbs family in Collingsworth County from 1910 through the 1930 Census. CLAUDE R. DOBBS, a farmer, b. abt. 1870, his wife Jennie/Ginney; (1) son EMMETT Dobbs, (b. abt. 1894 & d. 1928 in TX;) married ESTHER CECELIA SULLIVAN; (2) son ROY Dobbs, (b. 1896, d. 1969 in Lubbock, TX). Roy m. NELLE T. PAYNE. Their children: (i) ROY Dobbs, JR (b. 1924) and (ii) DOROTHY Dobbs (b. 1927). (3) Son AUBREY M. DOBBS (b. abt. 1902) married LOLA G. In the 1930 Census he is listed as publisher of a weekly newspaper.
(4) Daughter SHIRLEY Dobbs (b. abt. 1908.)
Younger brother THOMAS WHITMAN Dobbs (b. 1880, d. 1967 in Wellington, Collingsworth) married LOLA BELLE who died in the county in 1969. Many of their nine children were also born there: (1) OREN MELTON Dobbs, (b. 1903, d. 1967); (2) EDNA MAE Dobbs, (b. 1906, d. 1969) married BONNIE LEATHERS and THOMAS HENRY WINKLER.
