Elmer Kaich was born 26 May 1922 in Kaufman County, Texas. He died 23 February 1994 in Smith County, Texas. He was married to Edith Hesteen Brown. They had three children: Lesley Warren Kaich, who died as a young child, Paula Heesten Kaich. She first married Murray D Mc Gill in 1971 and then Sammy R Mayfield in 1976. The third child of Elmer Kaich ws Wesley Oran Kaich who married Kathy Annette Bufe. The were the parents of Christopher Warren Kaich.

Emmie Jean Jones married Earl Hardy Jones. They had two children: Gordon Ear Jones and Charle Anson Jones, III.
