The way messages are posted have changed in the past few years I guess. I found a query for a Lorenzo Trout's family but the person who posted the message had replies blocked except through membership in Ancestry .com . I can not afford their fees . Louis Benjamin Jurcak and Annie May Bloxom married on 24 December 1940, reportedly either in Dimmit, or in Clovis, New Mexico. I am inclined to think it was Dimmit, and wonder if anyone could visit the courthouse and confirm?

I am researching my direct line of Husmans living in Nazareth, Castro Co. TX. My grandparents are Charles Joseph and Mary Margaret Kehl Huseman. Great grandparents are Bernard Herman and Anna Finke Huseman. They arrived in Nazareth around 1902. Grampa Charlies siblings are Anna Elizabeth, Bernard Herman Jr., Maria Gertrude, Theresa, Henry, John Henry, Louis Peter, Anna, Emma Dorothea, Agnes, Frank Joseph, Joseph and Mary Huseman. All born in Lowell or Crown Point, Lake Co. IN. Anyone interested in researching this line please contact me. I have extensive info and some pictures on this line but have many gaps to fill.

I am looking for Esquibel Family in Castro County. Rosendo Esquibel is the son of Reyes and Victoria (Loera) Esquibel. Victoria had a child that was still born and they buried the child in or around Dimmitt, Texas. I cannot find any records since they did not name the child. Reyes' father lived at Dimmitt for a long time. Pablo and Rumalda (Arguijo) Esquibel were his parents names. Pablo's father is Francisco Esquibel. This is as far as we have gotten. Both of Rosendo's parents cannot remember much about family. Victoria's parents are Gerturdis and Matalda (Ramirez) Loera. She had a step-mother named Natividad. I found PEARL GASS in the SSDI, I think this is the PEARL HENSLEY GASS, that I have been searching for. She died Aug. 10,1978 in Dimmitt, Castro Co., according to the SSDI. I have an obit for her brother, OMER HENSLEY, he died in 1968 in LA CROSSE, KS. It stated that PEARL and her sister CARLOTTA HEISER survived their brother. In 1968 PEARL lived in HEREFORD, TX.and CARLOTTA lived in CANYON, TX. They also had a sister, FLOSSIE HENSLEY, but I don't have a married name, indeed if she married. She was not a survivor in the 1968 obit so I am assuming that she was deceased at that time. Their parents were JONAS AND EMILY HENSLEY(nee ENGLISH). The censues stated that the family lived in Brown Co. Tx in 1910. Randall Co. Tx in 1920 and 1930. If anyone can help me with this family I really will appreciate it. Thank you all so much. Betty

Looking for information on my great aunt Eva. She was in Castro County between 1929-and 1941. I know she had at least two children there. I was told she and her husband are buried in Castro County, around Dimmitt.

She probably died after 1950- but before 1960. Her husbands name was Joseph Corneilus Cooper, but they called him Neal. Any information about this family would be appreciated.

Does the 1880 Castro County Texas census exist? Since the county was formed in 1876, the county should have been enumerated in 1880. However, I've been unable to locate it. Can anyone help?

I am trying to locate information on Elisha M. D. Auld (1837-after 1893) and his wife Mary Slawson Auld. They lived in Castro County in 1893.
