I descend from the Whitehorn living in Cottonwood. I believe Rufus was the brother of my great grandfather, Grady. The Whitehorns migrated to Cottonwood from Clay Countyy Alabama. It looks like the father of Rufus, Edmound Barret Whitehorn moved his family to Texas after the death of his mother, Martha. Martha and Lawrence Bolling Whitehorn are buried in Clay, Alabama at the Miller cemetery. That is as far as I have been able to get. I am searching for information on Lawrence and his descendants.
