John WALLIN(G) married in Yamhill Co., Oregon, Eliza Jane SHADDEN who was born in 1843 near Sutter's Fort. Together they had more than 10 children, the last child stillborn. John was said to be a Methodist minister. He is said to have left Oregon to join his son in Baird, Callahan Co., TX. It is said he died in Baird around 1910. I am looking for confirmation of his living in Baird and his death in Baird.

I do not know if there are or were any other WALLINs living in Baird.

John had a daughter, Martha Jane WALLIN, who married William Marion TONEY. They had a daughter, Berniece Elsie, who married Harry Edward LONG. Their son is my father. These people all lived in Yamhill Co., Oregon. They did not go to Texas.
