Jesse Franklin Allen, 89, of Buchanan Dam died Monday morning, October 4, in Shepperd hospital.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park with Brother Dick Griffin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Edgar Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers were James A. Lester, Steen Von Holstein - Rathlow, James L. Lester, Alex Allen, Hershall Dubree, and William H. Pettersen.
Allen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Inez Allen of Buchanan Dam; two daughters, Anna Mae Lester of Copperas Cove, and Martha Von Holstein-Rathlow of El Paso; one sister, Mrs. Lima Mae Berger of Seguin; one brother, Alex Allen of San Antonio; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; other relatives and close friends.
He was born Sept. 18, 1907 in Poth, Texas. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired civil service employee.
