Surnames: MILLS, McCORD
Who did America Emmaline Mills marry in 1874?
I find WP Mills 35 AL and Wilmirth Mills 38 AL in Brown Co on the 1870 census, San Saba PO, with children Marcia, 16, Margaret 12, James b 10, Addison (male) 8 and Thomas 2.
On the 1880 census San Saba Co, William is 50, Mahilda (?)55, James B 20, Martin V 15, Thomas B 12.]
There is only one who could be American Emmaline, that is 12 yr old Margaret on the 1870 census.
From the Handbook of TX Online
http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/SS/hcs5.h...
"The majority of San Sabans who served in the Confederate forces were in the regiment of Col. James E. McCord.qv Their primary assignment was to protect the frontier, and they used Camp San Saba, a ranger station in McCulloch County, as their base of operations."
