I am looking for information on La Mota cemetery right outside Benavides, Texas. I was told some of my ancestors are buried there. I would like to know if anyone knows who may own the land it is on. It has a large gate with a sign that states "La Mota Cemetery" and it has several large locks on a huge chain. It is between Benavides and Gonzalito's store going towards Kingsville. Texas Law prohibits the restriction of family members from being able to visit those graves even on private land. This information is available on a website called Save Texas Cemeteries. Any information regarding the ownership of the land would be greatly appreciated.
