Dona,

James Christopher was my great-great grandfather. My great-grandmother was Artilda Ann Christopher who married John R. Golden. Since James' death was before 1909 (when Texas started filing)the only way I know would be to go to the Brazoria County Courthouse and try searching records. I did not know that they had sold the land in Lamar Co. in 1885 as there were a number of children still living there in early 1900's. Also, Margarette is buried in an unmarked grave in the Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Lamar Co, TX. The caretaker said that she was buried is the "singles" section and that no grave marker was ever there.

How are you related to the Christophers and the Ledbetters? What sources do you have on your information on them? I would be glad to share what I have although it's not much.
