Anyone know about the grandparents & ancestors (also parents of....except Alice) of Howard C. Doolittle (died 1966) or Pearl Secrist/Wolf Doolittle (died 1970) of San Antonio, Texas? Howard was principal of Emerson Jr. High (40's thru early 60's) and Pearl taught at & was Dean of Girls of Thomas Jefferson High. They never talked about 3 of their parents or any ancestors. The only distant-branch cousin I knew of was Jimmy Doolittle, who bombed Toyko in 1942. Mom's mother deserted her & the husband when Pearl was 2, disappeared in Houston....and the dad (Secrist) died a year later. Howard's dad was a barber, I was told; he died while Howard was in high school. I don't even know my grandfather's first names, or anyone further back!
