C. H. Robinson appears as a nephew in the 1880 Census of the James and Caroline (Robinson) Strain household in Yalobusha County, MS. I am fairly certain this is the same Charles Henry Robinson who married Sallie Oswalt and then moved to Bell Co., TX, with the Oswalt family (her parents). I would like to document the father of Charles Henry Robinson in order to establish the correct father of my ancestor, Caroline Robinson Strain; as C. H. Robinson's father would be her brother. I believe C. H. Robinson's parents are William H. Robinson and Sarah Elizabeth Thornton, from what I see posted online. This family (William, wife Sarah, and Charles) can be found in Yazoo Co., MS, census in 1860, with two enumerations, one has what appears to be William's sister as well.
I believe William to be the son of Luke and Matilda Robinson, of Yalobusha Co. MS. Luke and Matilda Robinson are buried in the graveyard behind the former location of James and Caroline Strain's home and a small church in Yalobusha Co., MS, and appear in the 1850 census there.
Are there any descendants of the Charles Henry Robinson and Sallie Oswalt family who could help verify this information? This couple lived in Bell county from the 1880s until their deaths after 1930, based on census records. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated! I have one other branch of the Robinson family that I know is connected to this one as well.
