I'd like to hire a researcher!

I'd like to hire someone to go to the Bandera County library and look up obituaries for me on the microfilm reader. I've already contacted the high school counselor, but so far no results.

Any suggestions?

Post your personal email so we can communicate. I have been there many times.

Try contacting the Bandera County Commission, Bandera Historical Committee, or one of the Church historical groups. They should be able to recommend someone.

Addresses probably on http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txbander/

Or, try putting an ad in Bandera County Courier.

JPal: Based on your research experience at the Bandera library, where would I can find record of a divorce of couple in Bandera county 1858-1859? I've located wills and deeds but stuck on an old divorce.

This is a bit late for your post, but I have received Obit copies directly from the library.

How did you go about that? To whom did you address the requests, and how much was the charge?

Thanks!

I just sent a note telling what I was trying to locate (name & Date of Death) to the library address that I believe I found online. Actually addressed just to "Bandera Public Library, Bandera, Texas 78003" should get it delivered. The cost was very minimal and may have even been a small donation. It has been a while so I don't remember exactly. Worth a shot, though.
