Hi Dianne... I wondered what happened to you. Sorry to hear the news and I hope you get better soon. We've had our share of troubles too I guess. My cousin fell 30 feet off a roof and broke his back and hip last month and my father-in-law had a stroke last week and was in the hospital for a while. Then our oldest son had a rollover tonight in the company truck while driving in from working out of town. But thankfully, everyone should be ok before long. I hope you have a good recovery, and please let me know how you're doing.

No. The lady that tried to help me did not find a newspaper article on my grandfather's death. I don't have a death cert. I have death cert. for other family members and forgot the cost. Seems like it was 25.00 so one can spend a lot of money. Since I knew the info. on him, I had not sent for one. Do you work in a office where a death cert. is obtained? Let me know the cost. Thanks for your response.

My grandfather was in a oil rig fire around Dec. 12, 1955. He and my grandmother lived in Andrews at the time. My grandfather died. His name was Jewell Grant Kirkpatrick. I would appreciate if someone could find either or both the obituary and the newspaper article about the fire and send it to me. I live near Waco and would help you this direction. Thanks so much!

Jim Murphy was one of Sam Bass' men. Bass laided out plans to robe the bank at Round Rock and Murphy went to the Sherrif and told him. The Sheriff and his men were waiting for them. Two of his men were killed and Bass was shot but Frank Jackson got him up on his horse and got back to camp. They never has a chance to rob the Round Rock Bank.

Bass could not be moved so he told Jackson to leave. That was the end of Jackson's Robbery days. He changed his name and moved up north, North Dakota

Carla, I have not been on my computer since Sept. 12.
I had a stroke and am in San Francisco,ca. in a rehab facility. Since Oct 1st. I wish I were home though. I am on a public computer that I use. It's at Tunnell Rehab center on Pine street in S.F.
I got a letter from Jan Cotten in Midland. She told me the burial area for Roxina was at the very bottom of the aerial site you made for me. Not in the area where your
ex-husband thought it might be. Jan wrote me in early Sept., saying that old irrigation pipes were kept in the circled area of that photo. Jan said a woman was killed by some guy in the 1980's and that Melvin had stumbled upon the woman's shoe. The body was unearhed and the killer found, soonafter.
