I am looking for the C Ranch. Does it still exist? In 1902 my
grandmother died on the trail from Kerr co.,Tx. to Engle,N.M.
Territory. She was buried in a graveyard at the C Ranch that
was 25 miles north west of Midland,Tx.
Is there anyone that can help me??

My grandmother was Roxina P Hardin/Harden abt.77 years old. I don't know if any kind of stone was errected for her?
Her son Jake made sure she had a proper burial.

Dianne,
I know the C Ranch very well. I live next to it and my ex worked there when we were dating. I don't know of a "cemetery", but my ex once told me that his boss (Melvin) had found the graves of some people who were traveling through the area. I don't know if any of the graves are marked. I wanted to see them but Melvin wouldn't tell anyone where they were so they wouldn't get vandalized. Melvin still lives there and my mother is good friends with his daughter. Email me and I will help you in any way I can.

Carla, I have not heard from you in 2 months. Are you all right? Have you contacted Melvin or anyone regardin per-
mission to enter the C Ranch to search for the location of the
historic graveyard on the Ranch.
I wish I knew if the graveyard were along an outside boundary
fence?? Even a few good photographs would be great.
It's been over 102 years since my Great Grandmother was
buried there. There may be little left as far as markers to help identify the graves area. Please write me soon!!

Carla, I have not been on my computer since Sept. 12.
I had a stroke and am in San Francisco,ca. in a rehab facility. Since Oct 1st. I wish I were home though. I am on a public computer that I use. It's at Tunnell Rehab center on Pine street in S.F.
I got a letter from Jan Cotten in Midland. She told me the burial area for Roxina was at the very bottom of the aerial site you made for me. Not in the area where your
ex-husband thought it might be. Jan wrote me in early Sept., saying that old irrigation pipes were kept in the circled area of that photo. Jan said a woman was killed by some guy in the 1980's and that Melvin had stumbled upon the woman's shoe. The body was unearhed and the killer found, soonafter.

Hi Dianne... I wondered what happened to you. Sorry to hear the news and I hope you get better soon. We've had our share of troubles too I guess. My cousin fell 30 feet off a roof and broke his back and hip last month and my father-in-law had a stroke last week and was in the hospital for a while. Then our oldest son had a rollover tonight in the company truck while driving in from working out of town. But thankfully, everyone should be ok before long. I hope you have a good recovery, and please let me know how you're doing.

Carla Jo Aubrey I've lost touch with you. I can no longer get your Aubrey website online any longer. I know you've changed your email address to msn, or it had been that. Have you changed email again? I miss our correspondence. I was beginning to feel like part of your family, when your nephew was born. I think that was last 2006? Where are you? Please write me!! I hope your neighbors tell you to contact me again. Dianne Hardin daaazyhardin@aol.com
