Murphy was one of Sam
Bass' men. Bass laided out plans to robe the bank at Round Rock and
Murphy went to the Sherrif and told him. The
Sheriff and his men were waiting for them. Two of his men were killed and
Bass was shot but Frank
Jackson got him up on his horse and got back to camp. They never has a chance to rob the Round Rock Bank.
Bass could not be moved so he told
Jackson to leave. That was the end of Jackson's Robbery days. He changed his name and moved up north,
