The information I posted about the burials in Denson Springs Cemetery was from an Anderson County Cemeteries survey. Sorry, I don't have any other information about the Harrisons or the Selmans.

Ernest Selman was a nephew of W. A. & Willie (Robertson) Harrison. His mother was Laura Robertson Selman and she and Willie were sisters. I think the Harrison's raised Ernest after the death of his mother. The Robertson sister's mother was Rebecca Watkins and that's my connection to this family.

Not a problem! I would like to see your questions answered. Lookup his WWI Draft Registration in Oklahoma. It has his complete middle name. With any luck, another direct male descendant of the family will surface? At least we know the relationship between W. A. and his nephew. I was preparing to research that information when an angel intervened!

Hi,bkw513
I sorry I am a little slow on this family. Are you saying W.A. Harrison born abr. 1860 AL. was married to Willie (Robertson) Harrison. And that Laura Robertson Harrison was W.A.Harrison mother? Washington D.born abt. 1838 Ala. and Dicy born abt. 1838 in Ga. were listed as parents of
1.Johon J. Harrison born abt. 1860 Ala.
2.William A. Harrison born abt. 1861 Ala.
3. Ell. B. Harrison born abt. 1872 Ala.
4. Drew S. Harrison born abt. 1877 Fla.
In the census in 1880 in Anderson Co. Tx. ?
Thanks Lee

I feel you! You have it "half right"! Willie Robertson and Laura Ella Robertson were sisters. Willie Robertson married William Arthur Harrison about 1883. Laura Ella Robertson was the mother of Ernest Selman. Thus Ernest Selman was William A. Harrison's nephew by marriage and not "blood". Laura Ella Robertson was not the daughter of Washington D. Harrison.

Thank you, HL2604. Maybe I was not too clear. Willie Harrison & Laura Selman were the daughters of Samuel & Rebecca (Watkins) Robertson. I am connected on the Watkins side and all these people are buried at Denson Springs Cem about a mile from my home.

You are welcome! I see the Robertson family are long-time residents of Anderson County? I empathize with leecash's search! My maternal grandfather told so many lies until that side of my family began with his birth!!! Imagine that? What happened to Laura Ella's step-children (Nellie and Jim)?
