I am trying to find info on Mary Robinson, who was born 1850 in Jasper County GA, lived in 1860 and 1870 Louisiana, and who disappears from me in records after that. I am hoping to find her marriage, or perhaps even death records.

The family story is that Mary F Robinson came to TX with her brother and sister when they ran away from mean stepfather Allen P. Morris and his two kids James Oliver Morris and Sarah Frances (Fannie) Morris. The mother of the Robinson kids and Morris kids died in 1869 Morehead Parish LA.

Mary's sister Emma C Robinson married John Adam Brandon in 1872 Anderson County by a Methodist circuit minister.

I have this marriage information for Emma Robinson and John Brandon, but am also looking for a scanned copy or photo of original document. Could anyone tell me if that exists and/or where I could get help please?

It was presumed that Emma's midle initial stood C for the mothers maiden name of Calhoun, but that wasnt the mothers maiden name and it is unknown what it stood for. Emma and her husband John Brandon settled in Coryell County (although John may have come to TX first to Cranfil Gap and Turnersville area from Arkansas and earlier from MO.) We believe the three Robinson "children" may have come to Anderson County perhaps to the Fort, first for help or to meet up with a family freind named Dulaney.

John Brandon has brothers including Hugh Brandon and Charles L. Brandon, and a presumed cousin Rufus Lafayette Brandon who all settled in nearby counties in Texas. (None had a wife named Mary!) Hugh is buried in Throckmorton TX, and Charles is unkn burial, probably in Anderson or Hill Co.
There was another brother BEnton who may be aka L. B. Brandon who lived in Comanche County in 1900.

The brother John Walter Robinson ("Walter") lived with Emma and John Brandon in Coryell until mid 1880s. Walter Robinson married Mattie Waggoner and settled nearby Emma & John Brandon in Tehuacana (later Wortham) Texas. I have descendant list for both siblings. Emma & John and descendants are buried in Wortham. Walter & Mattie and their descendants are buried in Mexia Cemetery.

We do not know if Mary Robinson was married or when was deceased.
The story says that the Robinson children came to Texas with or to meet a family friend of the Robinsons named the Delaneys (Dulaneys, Delany, etc.) I have had no luck tracing this surname in connection with any of the Robinsons or Morris, Brandon or Waggoners or other family names.

If she came to Texas with the others it would have been about 1870-1872, and it seems likely she would have married in Texas very soon thereafter, maybe 1871-1874. I have death records for their mother in 1869 LA but no records for a death for Mary Robinson in LA through 1875.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could seek marriage records for multiple counties (Anderson, Coryell, Hill, Bosque, Navarro, Limestone, Freestone...), or that might have identifying elements in their information, like age or next of kin (to weed out the MANY Mary Robinsons?)

All help appreciated. THANK YOU.
Diane
