John Dunville Sloan immigrated to Chicago in 1888, married Rosina McKillop in 1894, had 4 children, Sherman 1896, Elmer 1899, Izola (Zola) 1901, and Ulysses (Henry) 1904.
By the 1910 Census they had moved to Franklin County, TN. JD Sloan is shown as a Carpenter.
Next thing I have is the 1918 WWI draft registration for Elmer with a Chicago address and the 1920 Census showing them all back in Chicago, minus John Dunville Sloan who I assumed passed away. Unknown if he died in Chicago or TN.
Why did they go to Tennessee? Was there some big job push in the region?
