I am trying to locate families who may have a
relative buried in this cemetery. It was in use
from the mid 1800's until the mid 1900's.The
location is the 2800 block of Brick Church
Pike. This was a cemetery run by the Benevolent
Society for African Americans.542 bodies have
been removed from their graves and placed in
paper grocery bags then put in cardboard boxes
placed in a trench in the ground. The cemetery
no longer exists in the record books.A
developer intends to build warehouses on the
site.If you have any information on this
cemetery please let me know.Thank you
