Looking for information regarding Joesph Edward Ables ancestors. He was born on May 10th, 1865. His father was a William C. Ables who I belive came from South Carolina. William C. Ables died before 1880. Joseph's stepmother was Elvira Howard, who married Willaim C. Ables in 1870. They had two other sons, Jeramiah Ables (b 1875) and John F. Ables (b 1878).

Joseph Ables married Media Virginia Sparkman on Dec 29, 1887. They had four children (one was my grandmother). Media died Dec 22, 1914. After her death, Joseph moved the family to San Diego in 1918 and lived there until his death in 1947. Both Media and Joseph are buried in the Sparkman cemetery in Boston, TN.
