Administrator Bond for Edmund Taylor, deceased William Wester is appointed as Administrator for the Estate of Edmund Taylor, deceased, who has died leaving no will. Given under my hand this 1st day of March 1847.

If Edmund owned land, there should be probate info. Also deed record and tax records. I found that there was a fire in the Weakley County Courthouse in 1948 but don't know what records are now available.

There's a list of published records at www.tn.gov/tsla/history/county/factweakley.htm. The State Library will loan microfilm only if you live in TN and you don't. You might be able to get that microfilm from another source. You can contact your own local public library about inter-library loan.

The local genealogical society also has a list of books that they've created, www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~tnweakle/Weakley_Co_Historical. I'm not a big fan of buying books but you might be able to get them through inter-library loan. You can always ask their society if they research too.

Another source is the Weakley County Circuit Court Clerk, www.weakleycountytn.gov/circuitcourtclerk.html who should know what records are available after their fire in 1948. Successful Searching!
