No. There were at least a dozen men named Turner Bynum and these two are from different lines altogether. My 1982 Bynum book covered the duelist TB and his ancestry, as well as that of the TB from Lincoln County who married Nancy Abernathy. That was rewritten and expanded several years ago and posted on my website at www.genfiles.com

The duelist was not married. He was engaged to Malinda McBee but the wedding had not taken place before he died. That Turner Bynum was the third child of anther Turner Bynum who was himself the son of the "original" Turner Bynum.
