I just returned from doing some research on my family who lived in Sullivan/Washington County, Tn. Bible records told me that my 3rd g-grandfather was Henry Jones and that he was married to a woman named Margaret. In doing my research I discovered that her name was Margaret/Mary DeVault. I believe that they lived in what is now the Rock Springs/Fordtown/Pactolus area. Henry was born around 1770/1780 and Margaret/Mary might have been born in Germany around the 1780 timeframe. If anyone has any information on my grandmother and her family, I would sincerely appreciate it.
