Hi Amanda,
I'm descended from Crawford Irick, Henry's brother. I think this family was from the Raccoon Valley area, just east of Dark Hollow.
Henry was a Confederate soldier and his pension records are on file. Elizabeth also had a widow's pension. In her pension records, it has Henry's place of death as Heiskell.
I understand from another Shipley researcher that Elizabeth may have been murdered, possibly to get access to the pension money.
Elizabeth Packett (b. 1881) was the daughter of Alexander Packett (b. 1853 Union County) and Martha E. York. Alexander Packett was the son of Vincent Packett(b. 1809, the descendant of some English settlers via Virginia) and "Barbery" apparently an Indian.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Ron Evans
