My husbands ggg grandmother was Sarah A Campbell, she married David Gouge (son of John Wesley Gouge and Rachel Lydia Forbes). No one knows the parents of Sarah A Campbell Gouge but I have found a clue that might help.

In the census of 1920 in Unicoi county TN, Sarah Campbell Gouge is living with her BROTHER David W Campbell, wife Bettie J, their kids, William, Jason, James, Freddie and daughter Marie Campbell. Also living within this household is an Aunt Betsy Davis, age listed as 99 years of age if I have read it right. David W Campbell states he was born in 1864.
I know several people are from David Gouge and Sarah Campbell, in this census, Sarah Campbell Gouge has a big D in her marriage status, I take that to mean she was divorced from David Gouge. Sarah Campbell Gouge has a daughter, Addie Gouge, with her in her brother David Campbell's household. Does anyone have any info on this line?
