I do not know of a book, but if you are anywhere close to Smith County it would be a very much worth while trip to the court house. With small hopes, we drove from Texas to Smith Co Tn over the summer and dug in the basement vaults of the court house all week finding more than we could ever imagine about our ancestors that lived there. They have chancery records, estate records - who bought what and for how much, court records, etc.....
