Thomas Smith obtained his land from George Houser who received it from the Armstrong's 1787 land grant for Rev. War service.
Osborn Jeffreys (Jr.) married Jane Miller 1806 in Person Co. N. Car. and migrated to Smith Co. Tenn. where he left a will Recorded Jan 1822, naming wife Jane and children: Salley T. (who married John M. Smith and with her brother John A.M.Jeffreys, migrated to Yalobusha Co. Miss. where they appear 1850 Census) Thomas M., Jane M., Kitchin T., William M., John A. M. (who migrated with sister Sarah T. to Yalobusha Co. Miss.) Helen S. and Polly D. Jeffreys.
Thomas Smith left will Nov 1821 naming Son John Smith his heir and executor.
Would like to know if anyone may have a family bible listing the marriage of John M. Smith to Sarah Elizabeth (Salley) T.(aylor) Jeffreys, c. 1821, their children were James Osborn Jeffreys Smith b. 25 Apr 1822, Smith Co. Tenn., Edward W. Smith b. 1830 and Amariles M. Smith (female) or Brooks (Sarah Elizabeth Taylor Jeffreys Smith remarried William Bird Brooks 18 Mar 1850, Yalobusha Co. Tenn. who came from Alabama with his children.
