Hello. I am very interested in information on Walter D. Bayne, a Virginia native, and Emily Buck Bayne, daughter of Fred and Sally Buck, formerly of North Carolina. These were my g-g-grandparents.
When the Civil War came, they fled from Shelby County to the safety of Kentucky where Walter had lived as a child. Then when the war ended, returned to Shelby County only to leave in 1869 for central Arkansas.
I am intererested in the names of siblings and his parents for Walter and in fact the names of all of Walter and Emily Bayne's children. I would also like to learn more about the Buck family rather than just names.
I have some of the names of Walter and Emily Bayne's children, but I truly think there were more.
My great grandfather called Dee Bayne was their youngest son. All of that bunch was tightlipped and not going to tell you much of anything.
I am of the opinion that Walter's kin were probably in Maryland in the 1600's, then down to Virginia before swinging into Kentucky, Tennessee and finally Arkansas.
Thanks a bunch to anyone who has information or suggestions.
