well...I did finally give up on that mistery, and have not tried to figure it out. But off the top of my head without looking back through my records..My father Lloyd Frank Jones, doesn't have a clear birth record. I do have a birth record, but it is clear, unnamed. His mama had 12 children. One census reads Lloyd as 2yrs old an orphan 'Lloyd Jones' in the Dunn's household. They have no other children. Ten years later on the next census Lloyd is 'Oury Lloyd Dunn', and a brother (Malcohm)is now shown too(one my daddy referred to as his brother, who he talked about often)
For the fact about his constant talk about Malcom, I figured he was his blood brother). Now Oury Lloyd Dunn had no birth certificate, so when he went into the service he had no birth certificate. He was allowed to produce a census with his name on it as proof, so Oury Lloyd Dunn showed his census he was on at about 12 yrs. old. His father Dunn signed it too as his son, making it legal birth certificate. So this could make two Lloyd's, one my father, Lloyd Frank Jones & Oury Lloyd Dunn. Sounds impossible. The name OURY is like OUR Lloyd. I do know there was a hurricane and all of Sarena's 12 children were scattered everywhere to relations. I have searched for the grave of Lloyd Dunn, my daddy is buried in Theodore,Ala. My daddy would do this, the only thing that I noticed was the signature on the both Lloyd's army papers were different.If you have a grave, then my father must of lived with the Dunn's and are related through the Lotts. And the fact that there was no b'cert for both men is possible. Like to hear back and put this to rest. Do you know how the two Lotts were related to each other for them to take in my father, and then name there own son after my father?
