Bev, I had seen on one entry that Amy Keesee and Thomas Green had a son named William M. who married a Lucinda Williams in Roane in 1838. I found this family on the 1850 census living in Monroe Co.,TN with children including a daughter Mary age 4. I am trying to find a Mary Green(e) or Mary Jane Green(e) b.1845 in TN who married (in 1864) Elisha Scott b. 1845 in Roane Co. Mary's father's birthplace she gives on censuses as VA. Your Green family may be too "upscale" to marry into the Roane Co. Scotts who were uneducated, not well off, and maybe a bit wild. However, I can't find many Mary Greens b. 1845 on TN 1850 & 1860 censuses with daddies born in VA so...I need help. Jeanie bohpoli@aol.com
