I am not quite kin to the Rowdens but definitely an Ahart desc. So your query intrigued me.

The brother to my ggg grandfather Amos Moss, John Moss married Sarah Armintz ROWDEN, dau of Elkanah ROWDEN and Catherine McKidy.

But in another line, Mitchell Ahart, my 4g grandfather was listed in the Roane Co TN 1830 census. He has moved his family to Trigg County KY by the 1850 census. What Ahart line do you descend from? Marcia hartresearcher@aol.com

I found this old posting and do not know if you are still researching, but Ezekial Rowden, son of Elijah Rowden was married (briefly) to a Frances E. (Robertson) Ahart, before she married him. She was the daughter of Andrew Robertson and she was born 22 Mar 1830 in TN. Don't know if this fits in your line or not. Sharon
