I am also descended from Elisha Martin Sr. who married Katherine Howard @ 1810 in East TN. This Elisha is the son of George L. Martin and Amey Bedsaul who moved to East Tennessee from Grayson Co. VA @ 1805. George L. Martin died in Roane Co., TN in 1831. His wife, age 95, is still living with Elisha and Katy Martin on the 1850 Roane Co. census. I am trying to find the marriage record for Elisha Martin Sr. and Katherine/Catherine "Katy" Howard. I was told it was 1810 in Knox Co. but cannot find it.
