Could you tell me about the Bohannans you found at the cemetery?

I know about tent graves. I found my first tent grave cemetery in Arkansas. Many graves all the way you described.

It is believed it was done that way to shed water and possibly adopted from the civil war when they buried with dirt monds pointed like a tent.

The ones I found had the foot of each grave pointed eastward, a religious belief that Christ will come from the east. This way they can see him coming. Another belief has to do with seeing the sun rise in the east.
