William Hayes/Samantha Coleman

Hello, Hayes researchers - just some updates about William/Bill Hayes --

Upon looking at William's 1930 census more carefully, it states his first marriage was at 21, which would make it 1886. Samantha's first marriage was at 22, which would have been 1892, with Bill, presumably. So, it follows he was married before??

I've got a copy of his death certificate from Polk County, which had his dates of birth, 28 Jan 1865, and death, 19 July 1939, but no parents' names. The last residence is listed as Farner, TN. His son Sylvester was the informant. No cause of death listed - died at 1:00 p.m. The certificate not signed by a MD until 8/17/1939 - Dr. H. P. Hyde.

His place of birth is listed differently on many documents - on the death certificate it's Polk County, TN.

Here's the census info:

1900 8th Civil District, Ducktown, Polk County, TN (he lists his place of birth as Georgia, same for his parents)
Samantha's had 5 children; 4 living.

1910 Hothouse Township, Cherokee County, NC (he lists place of birth as Georgia for himself, North Carolina for his parents). Samantha's had 10 children; 8 living.

1920 Polk County, TN (he lists his place of birth as Georgia for himself and parents)

1930 Polk County, TN (he lists his place of birth as NC; parents' as United States)

There are delayed birth certificates for Effie A. - 11 Dec, 1909; Lillie L., 10 Feb 1895; and Wilburn M., 20 Aug 1902; all in Cherokee County, NC.

Questions: which two died? I haven't found anything further on Earnest as an adult, but is there another child I've missed?

Does anyone know anything about a prior marriage? Does anyone have a copy of their marriage certificate, if there was one?

Does anyone have a copy of any bible entries regarding the family?

That's it for now - many thanks.

Donna

Male baby born on March 21, 1960, in Tennessee. He was removed at some point and placed at a home for boys in Carroll county, Georgia. Possibly the Strawbridge Home for Boys. A couple from Muscogee county, Georgia went there and got him, and took him home and adopted him when he was about 10 months old. I know that this is not much to go on, but any help or advise would be appreciated.
Debbie Sue

I would like to hear from anyone who may be or knows a descendant of Grover Cleveland Jones. He was my great grandfather, Henry Wilson Jones' brother. Their parents were John Wesley Jones and Margaret Parks. There were 10 children in all. Besides Grover and Henry, there was John Nelson, Lovie, Arra and Carra (twin girls), James Sullivan, Pledger Franklin, Thomas Asbury, and Dock Robert. Grover was born in Young Cane, Georgia (now Blairsville) but later moved to McCaysville, GA and was a barber in Copperhill, Tennessee.

Married Florence Elizabeth Coffey nee King. Had 11 children. Last known residence was Copperhill, Polk, TN. I believe he died before 1950. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything regarding the Graham's families that lived in Polk County, TN during the 1850-1860 census. It seems there was quite a few Graham's living in the county in both of those census years and then in 1870 I cannot find any? Was this one big family that migrated somewhere else? The line I come from moved to Hardin Co, Ky by the 1880's. It just seems odd that that many people with the same name would all pick up and leave around the same time frame. What reason's could their have been to move???

I am researching Angeline McClanahan Smith, who may be related to Martin Bates b.1814 in Rutherford Co. NC D. Polk Co Tn. Angeline is listed as a neighbor to John and Mary Bates children of Martin in the 1870 census for Polk Co. TN.

M.AngelineMcClanahan b.06/08/1845 d. 05/0/1875 was married to John Smith Jr. in McMinn/Polk Co.,Tn 12/13/1866. The only reference to her is in the Smith family Bible and in the 1870 Polk Co.,Tn census

John Smith 26
Angeline 25
Martha J. 1

There seems to be a reference to her as a Bates (maiden name)so McClanaham might be her married name.

Does anyone have any information that might connect these families. Since she is close in age to John and Mary Bates I thought their father Martin might be her uncle. I am looking for her parents.

Ducktown , Copperhill help.

My grandfather Charlie Ward married to Dollie Burgess lived in these location of Ducktown, Copperhill where my Aunt Gertrude Ward was born. I believe he was a miner moved to Dahlonega after awhile. I am in desperate need of any thing any one can tell me to end this puzzle.

This is my problem my grandfathers name was suppose to be Charlie Ward his parents were Emma Mortis and Sam Ward.

Now Emma Mortis is listed on the 1880 census with two kids Sam and Susan Mortis but not Charlie who seems to be about the same age as the boy name Sam. Now my cousin who I only know online told me that some old lady told her that Charlie Ward had another name Mortis and that he went away and came back with the Ward name. My cousin did not know where the Mortis name came from.

I sent for Charlie Wards death certificate just by luck I guess when my mom told me he had died 10 years before she met my father and she met him 1950 so I guess 1941 and I was right. I got the certificate and it said his mother was Emma Mortis and his father Sam Ward and that he was born in White County in 1856.

However, we learned where the Mortis name came from but, there is no Sam Ward who was to be his father anywhere in Georgia at that time and Emma Mortis shows up only on that one Census record for Lumpkin county in 1880.

Now my father was Monroe Sam Anderson Ward and on the 1880 census the Andersons lived in the same location as Emma Mortis. Does she belong to that family or does Sam Ward the father.

Was Mortis Emma's maiden name or was she married to a man name Mortis and there are none of them in Georgia either at that time.

Did she change her name to Ward and if she did where and when?

How did most of the Ward sons have Andersen/Anderson on their records then remove it?

Is Emma a Andersen, Mortis or other?

What happened to Sam Mortis and Susan Mortis?

Where did Emma Mortis go she simply disapeared off all census records after 1880. Any help would be great
Buckner Walker

Buckner Walker, born 1806 GA, TN or ? Summary Information

From the start Buckner Walker is difficult to research to say the least, as very few facts are consistent in his life and that of his family. Several points need to be established in order to confirm this family.

Along with the constant transcription errors and name slaughtering done by Ancestry.com and the lack of information available for the state of Georgia before 1820 this problem creates a real dilemma for any researcher to try to sift thru, let alone a legal professional. A little luck and a profound love of ones family is what is needed here to sort thru the facts to get at the real truth of just who is the family of this Buckner Walker and where his name originates from.

Buckner is first found in 1827 in Hall County, Georgia where he is found on the Indian land lottery list. Where he has received lands in Lee County, as listed below

REPRINT of OFFICIAL REGISTER of LAND LOTTERY OF GEORGIA 1827
20th DAY'S DRAWING-March 29
HALL.
page 60
Fortunate Drawers: Buckner Walker,
Captains District: Roberts
Number: 156
District: 19
County: Lee County

I at the onset of my research I thought that Buckner may have been the son of West Walker Sen. who is found in 1830 in Hall County, Georgia the more that I researched Buckner and his family, the more that I was swayed against this idea. One of the main reasons for this is that the names are not consistent enough to establish a sound relationship. At times this doesn’t mean a lot but in this case I believe that it does.

The family of West Walker, follow a pattern that is not consistent with those of Buckner Walker and his brother Memory Walker, Some have assumed that Memory Walker was the son of West, this I believe is an error and unless I see a Will to prove otherwise I contend that Memory Walker is the brother of Buckner and that these two men although they might be related to West Walker they are not his sons.

By 1830 Buckner Walker is found in Habersham County, on page 66 of the census listed as follows

1830 Federal Census Habersham Georgia

Buckner Walker, Household listed as 200010000000010001 listed on page 66. Two males 0-4 One male 20-29 One female 0-4 One female 20-29

Also found listed in 1830 in Habersham County is Buckner Walker’s mother in law Mary Ann Feeland nee Howland. Her husband was Isaac Freeland who died in Franklin County, about 1820 he is believed to have been born in England and his wife in Virginia, their daughter Saleta Freeland married Buckner about 1824.

Isaac and Mary Ann Freeland had four known sons, Howell, Isaac Jr. John, and Jeremiah H. Freeland. The Freeland’s play a large part in the research of this Walker family and I believe that they have a long history together.

West Walker may be an uncle of Buckner Walker but this I find doubtful as well, as I believe that the Rebecca Walker found in the 1840 census in Lumpkin County Georgia on census page 24 is his mother and neither, Memory Walker or Buckner names a child after her.

Now if you go by just the census records one would believe that West Walker Sen. Abner, West Jr. Memory Walker, Rebecca, and Micajah Walker are all related as they are all found grouped together on page 24 of the 1840 census for Lumpkin County, grouped as such. Line #17 Rebecca Walker, line # 23 West Walker Jr. line #26 Abner Walker, line # 27 West Walker Sen. Line # 28 Memory Walker. On page 25 line # 3 Micajah Walker.

In 1830 in Hall county Georgia you find on page 114 Memory Walker , page 112 Micajah Walker, page 132 West Walker Sen. One may ask if these men are not related why are they in the same county and yet Buckner Walker is off on his own? If you look at the 1827 Indian Land lottery you will find the answer to this question Buckner Walker and Memory Walker were from the Hall County, area these other Walkers were not. They came from Jones County same as Rebecca Walker and drew into this area by lottery. Buckner Walker in 1830 was in Habersham County and in 1840 moved to Forsyth County, with his brother in law Isaac Freeland.

Howell Freeland moved to Polk County, Tennessee shortly after his marriage in 1833 with his father in law Jesse Campbell who was born in 1787 in South Carolina. Memory and Buckner Walker moved to Polk County, about 1849.
John and Jeremiah Freeland are found in the 1840 census in Lumpkin County, I believe that Mary Freeland the mother is found in 1840 in the household of Memory Walker in Lumpkin County. And as stated Isaac Freeland, is in Forsyth County, near Buckner Walker in 1840.

The facts as I see them are this, the brother of Buckner Walker, is Memory Walker and possibly a James and John Walker, I believe that they were orphaned young and were unsure as to where or when they were born. What leads me to this conclusion is the fact that neither, Memory or Buckner, are consistent in their birth dates or place of birth leading one to believe that this is due to the death of their parents at a young age.

There are several points that lead me to conclude that these two men are linked together and I will cover them one at a time. Point # 1 Buckner named a son Memory after his brother. Point # 2 the name Memory is odd enough to set it apart from that of the more common names. Point # 3 the Freeland family had close ties to both of these Walker men ie the Freeland sons living near Memory Walker in 1840 and Mary Freeland in the household of Memory Walker. Point # 4 Howell Freeland moved to Polk County, Tennessee from Lumpkin County, Georgia Memory and Buckner both moved to Polk County, to the same District at the same time and are found living close to each other. Jeremiah Freeland also moves at this same time. Point # 5 both Buckner and Memory Walker named sons John, and James, and a daughters Mary Ann.

Some other researchers have tied Memory Walker as a son to West Walker and I believe that this is an error due to the facts that I have laid out. The other point is the fact that both Memory and Buckner both came out of Hall County, Georgia before 1825 as proof one must study the Indian land lottery grants. Both men from the same county drew lands in another county’s. This is why they are not found together until 1850.

It is very easy to see why some researchers have made the mistake of adding Memory Walker to the Family of West Walker, from the census information.

I must state again West Walker may be related to these two men but I doubt he is the father. The clue to who may be the father of Buckner and Memory Walker may be found in the names of the children, and to find this one must look to the names that have been repeated over and used again. It is not a stretch to think that the family would want to keep the (Memory) of their father alive, and no the word memory was put in caps for a reason. If the children were orphaned at a young age it would be understandable if the ages and place of birth is off. I believe that the father of these two men based on what I have seen is a man by the name of Memorable Walker who died about 1804 in Elbert County, Georgia. This Will, I’m sure holds the keys to this family’s heritage and should be ordered for more clues to the children. Memory aka Memorable Walker is not a common name and this I believe is the best place to start researching.

Now the name Buckner is also a rarity and sparks many questions that should be answered. It is certain that Buckner is derived from the Buckner family and is that of a last name and a means to honor and keep the family name alive as was the custom of the day. Now this can lead one to search their roots in the wrong place looking for where their family might fit in. I believe that this question can also be answered by looking to ones other family members.

Researching migration patters as I do, I have learned that most of the early settlers had long time roots with those of other family’s that lived close by them, they inner married and traveled together lived and died together. Some of these friendships were formed from the Revolutionary war and carried on for many generations.

I believe that the Freeland, Walker, and Buckner family’s had these same ties from the past. A case in point would be Freeland Buckner born 1802 in Georgia he can be found in the 1827 Indian lottery lists and in the 1860 census in Monroe County, Georgia he is very elusive to say the least as he too has had his name slaughtered by transcription errors. It is not by chance that these three names cross paths as they do. This indicates a long family history that I am sure will be lead to a better understanding of how all this information fits together. I should note here that in the 1860 census for Monroe County, lists Freeland Buckner as Frelin. I have looked at the 1860 tax lists and his name is clearly Freeland Buckner, this is clearly the same man.

It should also be noted that there was a Jesse Walker who died interstate around 1804 that came from Grandville County, North Carolina that may play a role in this family. The Walker’s from Grandville County, claim ties to my Captain George Walker who died in Bledsoe County, Tennessee in 1833. Researchers who have an interest in this family should research both of these two families.

Below I will leave the end notes for family researchers to follow the trail to these individuals that I have listed above as they can be very elusive to find in the census records. I am not related to this Buckner Walker that I know of but have done some extensive research on him and offer this research in hopes that it will help others.

NOTES TO ASSIST RESEARCHERS ARE LISTED BELOW:

1840 Federal Census Forsyth County Georgia

Buckner Walker household 1310010000000200001 One male 0-4 Three Males 5-9 One male 10-15 One male 30-39 Two females 0-4 One female 30-39

Note ! Also found in Forsyth County at this same time is Issac Freeland who is the brother to Buckner's wife Saleta Freeland.

==============================================================
1850 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk Subdivision 25

Buckner Walker Household # 944-953 birth place listed as Tennessee and birth date 1806.

Note ! By 1850 there is one child missing from the home that was in the 1840 census this is believed to be James Harvey Walker. Also those listed in the house in 1850 are Buckner Walker age 44, Celeth age 44 ,John age 18, Memory age 17, Nancy age 15 ,and George W age 13.

There is no sign of Robert H Walker, Isaac N. Walker, Buckner Walker b. 1846 , or William Walker . This causes me to believe that these children are not Buckner and Saleta Walker’s children but those of a possible brother as they do not show up until the 1860 census and are too young to be on their own in 1850
=============================================================
Patentee: BUCKNER WALKER

Survey

State: ALABAMA ,Winston County.
Acres: 309.72
Metes/Bounds: No

Title Transfer

Issue Date: 12/1/1859
Land Office: Huntsville
Cancelled: No
U.S. Reservations: No
Mineral Reservations: No
Authority: April 24, 1820: Sale-Cash Entry (3 Stat. 566)

Document Numbers

Document Nr.: 29809
Accession/Serial Nr.: AL3900__.312
BLM Serial Nr.: AL NO S/N
============================================================
1860 United States Federal Census Alabama, Winston County, Half Township 10 Range 7

Buckner Walker, Household # 24-24 Page 3 lists his place of birth as Tennessee and being born in 1806

==============================================================
1870 United States Federal Census Alabama Winston Township 10

Buckner Walker is listed as houehold # 53-53 on page # 86 of the census.

Note Ancestry.com has him listed under Walker Buckner, I looked at this census and it is clearly Buckner Walker. I have since corrected this information on Ancestry.com as of 12/3/06. Also the place of birth has changed to Georgia and the birth year is 1806

==============================================================
1880 United States Federal Census Alabama Lawrence Moulton District 176

Buckner Walker is listed as household # 25-25 on page 3 of the census

Note ! Buckner states his birth state as Georgia birth year as 1806. Ancestry.com has him listed as Brakner Walker and his wife is listed as Solety. He also lists the place of birth for his parents as unknown.

===============================================================
REPRINT of OFFICIAL REGISTER of LAND LOTTERY OF GEORGIA 1827
4TH DAY'S DRAWING--9th March
HALL.
page 9
Fortunate Drawers: Memory Walker,
Captains District: Roberts
Number: 94
District: 5
County: Coweta County

Note both Buckner and Memory Walker are from Hall County, Georgia West Walker and Family are from Jones County. The older female that is listed as 60-69 is believed to be that of Mary Ann Freeland Nee Howland who is the mother of Buckner Walker’s Wife this information fits with the fact that her two sons Jeremiah and John Freeland are both in the same County and close by as well. I do believe that Buckner and Memory are brothers. This I am positive of.
=============================================================
1850 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk Subdivision 25

Memory Walker Household # 911-909 page 515 Memory Walker lists his birth sate as Georgia and birth date as 1802
=============================================================
1860 United States Federal Census North Carolina Cherokee Shoal Creek

Memory Walker is listed as household # 453-653 page 70. I feel sure that this is the mother of Saleta Freeland
=============================================================
1840 federal Census Lumpkin County Georgia

I believe that the older female living with Memory Walker in Lumpkin County Georgia is none other then Mary Freeland. This makes sense due to the fact that two of her believed sons are in this same County. and Buckner Walker being in Forsyth County With her other son Isaac Freeland.

Mary Freeland is believed to have died in Lumpkin County before 1850. I have found no Will to date for Mary or Isaac Freeland. For more information one must search the court documents for more clues as they would have been recorded in some form if they owned anything of value and they did.

REPRINT of OFFICIAL REGISTER of LAND LOTTERY OF GEORGIA 1827
21st DAY'S DRAWING-March 30
HALL.
page 63
Fortunate Drawers: Isaac Freeland,
Captains District: Roberts
Number: 246
District: 29
County: Lee County

1    29    246    Freeland, Isaac
==============================================================

1840 Federal Census Forsyth County Georgia

Isaac Freeland household listed as 310201000000011001 Three Males 0-4 One male 5-9 Two males 15-19 One male 30-39 One female 0-4 One female 5-9 One female 20-29

Note ! At first I did not believe that this could be the son of Mary Freeland due to the two boys that are listed as ages 15-19 as this does not fit the information on the 1830 census for Mary Freelands sons. They would have had to have been married after the 1830 census.

After close analysis of the information on Isaac Freeland of the 1850 Census I know that this is in fact the son of Mary and Issac Sen Freeland
==============================================================
1850 United States Federal Census Georgia Forsyth District 31

Isaac Freeland household # 134-134 Also living in this household is a John Walker age 18 born in Georgia This furthers proof of the tie to the Walker Family also listed is a Thomas Allen age 21 born in Georgia. These are the two young men on the 1840 census. This John Walker living with the Freeland Family may hold further clues as to this Walker family . He should be traced out thru the years to see where he ties in.

1840 Federal census Lumpkin County, Georgia

John Freeland household 120010000000020001 One male 0-4 Two males 5-9 One male 20-29 Two females 0-4 One female 20-29

1840 federal Census Lumpkin County Georgia

Jeremiah Freeland Household 210010000000010001 Two males 0-4 One male 5-9 One male 20-29 One female 0-4 One female 20-29
==============================================================
1850 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk Subdivision 25

Jeremiah H Freeland household # 915-923

==============================================================
1860 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk District 8

Jeremiah Freeland household # 1145-1145 listed as J Freeland Living right below him is his brother Howell Freeland listed as Howell Frelin. living above him is George W Walker the son of Buckner Walker
Howell Freeland married Zilphia Campbell in Lumpkin County Georgia in Sept. 18 1833

==============================================================
1840 federal Census Polk County, Tennessee

Howell Freeland, household 000010000000031001 One male 20-29 Three females 0-4 One female 5-9 One female 20-29

==============================================================
1850 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk Subdivision 25

Howell Freeland listed as household # 931-939

==============================================================

1860 United States Federal Census Tennessee Polk District 8

Howell Freeland listed in 1860 has now become Howell Frelin and is household # 1146-1146 living just below his brother jeremiah Freeland and George Walker who is the son of Buckner Walker

OTHER NOTES THAT MAY BE OF HELP !

David Glaze was in Wilkes County by 1791 when he sold some land in
Granville County, NC which had been left to him by his father, Benjamin. He
appears in Lincoln County, GA tax lists and in the 1840 census. He died
intestate. His estate was settled with a sale on October 4, 1825 in Lincoln
County. In 1809, David was Justice of the Peace in Lincoln County. He was
administrator of the estate of Jesse Walker in 1804-1818 and made payments
on behalf of the orphan Walker children to guardians, who were
brothers-in-law of Margaret (Glaze) Walker, his sister. Susan (Susannah)
Glaze, age 50-60 appears with children matching the ages of most of those in
the Lincoln County, GA 1820 and 1830 census. She also appears in the 1840-50
census of Lincoln County. Her will was dated 1853.

REPRINT of OFFICIAL REGISTER of LAND LOTTERY OF GEORGIA 1827
19th DAY'S DRAWING-March 28.
PUTNAM.
page 58
Fortunate Drawers: Freeland Buckner,
Captains District: Allums
Number: 111
District: 3
County: Muscogee County

This name needs lots of research ! Who is Freeland Buckner ? Freeland Buckner is found in the 1860 census for Monroe County Georgia and lists his birth date and place as 1802 in Georgia Family 190-187 page 731 he is listed as Frelin Walker but the tax list for 1860 Says Freeland Walker so I know that this is the same man.

==============================================================
Swinford (John etc) in Bradley, TN

I am looking for a Swinford family who show up in the 1860 census of Bradley, TN. It lists, Patsey(40) Susan (24) John (16) Luci (14) Betsey (9) and Samuel (3) I am researching John Swinford. Did this family come from S.C? Supposedly John Swinfords father was born in S.C. but I don't know his name or any other information. Patsey is listed as a spinster, so are these her children and something happend to the father in S.C? The John Swinford I am looking for was born Jan. 1, 1945 in TN., and died September 11, 1927 in St. Francois County, TN. He married Louisa May Smith in TN. Her father was Peter Smith, and mother was Martha E. Watkins. I haven't been able to trace him back any farther. Please email me if you have information. Thanks. Lisa

Isaiah/Josiah Goforth, b. abt. 1797 TN,

I am trying to find information regarding an Isaiah/Josiah Goforth, who was born around 1797 in Tennessee. He married an woman listed as "Easter" in the 1850 Polk County census. Children listed in the census were Daniel, aged 16, Polly, aged 13, John, aged 11, Jesse, aged 9, Frederick, aged 7, Eveline, aged 4, and Isaiah, aged 1.

I believe that my son's line continues through John. I am trying to find more information about the family, primarily John Goforth.

I do know that my son's great-grandmother is Clara M. Goforth, daughter of Willie and "Airy" Goforth of Pickens County, GA. Willie was born around 1904 in TN. Airy was born around 1906 in Georgia. I'm trying to find out if Willie is the son of Isaac and Mattie Goforth, who lived in Bradley County, TN in the 1920 census, with children John, Willie, Cora, Albert, Alvin, Ethel, (F)Letcher (?) {a son aged 4?}, James, and H.C.

Thanks so much for any help!

Lisa

BEAVER/S in Polk County

I am looking for an Andrew Brownlow BEAVER/S. I want to find him on the 1900 census because he would have been with his parents at the time.

Here is the information I believe pertains to this Andrew Brownlow BEAVER/S.

He was born in 1882 in either TN, GA or NC. He used the names Andrew, Brownlow, Brown and Andrew B. He married Sarah HAWKINS. in 1910 they were living in Polk County TN; in 1920 they were in Paulding Co GA. In 1930 they were again in Polk Co TN.

He also had family, I believe, in Cherokee Co NC and Union and Fannin Counties in GA

When he applied for his WWI draft card he was living in Copperhill, Polk County, TN. I believe he may have owned a barbarshop in Copperhill along with a Mr. ALLEN.

He may have been the son of John M. BEAVER/S AND Laura or Lorena HINDLEY.

I need to find John and Laura/Lorena on the 1900 census [possibly in Polk Co TN] and Andrew Brownlow in 1900.

Anyhelp anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

My husband's great-great-great-great grandfather was Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Allen. "Jeff" was said to have been born in 1808 in Greenville, (or Greenville Co.), South Carolina. He and his family moved to Polk Co., Tennesse about 1847. On his headstone it only has the years of his birth and death of 1808-1885. He was the first person buried at the Tumbling Creek Cemetery, (AKA; Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery), in Polk Co., Tennessee.

Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Allen 1st married Mary Jane Crawford. Mary was born about 1812 in possibly South Carolina.

"Jeff" and Mary had the following children;
Jesse Crawford Allen (my husband's line)
John Allen
(Rev.) Hannibal Allen
Thomas "Tom" J. Allen
Missouri Allen
Mary (or May) Allen
George W. "G. W." Allen
James M. Allen
Catherine Allen (this child, we don't know if she was a daughter, adopted daughter, or a grandchild that was living in "Jeff's" household. We need more information about her.

"Jeff" married 2nd, Susan Head on 17 Jan. 1858 by David Withrow (JP). Don't believe "Jeff" and Susan had any children together.

If anyone has any information about Thomas Jefferson Allen, his parents, his siblings, and his children, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
