I'm not sure but I think the McNairs ran it. If so this will be the same McNair's at what is now known as McNair's Stand just where 411 crosses the Conasauga River. The Slew/Slu is upriver from there about a mile, perhaps less. It would be on the north side of the main body of the river. I took my boys down there when they were small and found a gold ring in the slew...got into some stinging nettle too. There is much written on the relationship of David
