According to research from a member of the Benton Co. Tenn. Genealogical Society, John BAKER married Sarah Elizabeth BRITT. They lived for a while in Benton Co. TN. Some of their children were:

Harper BAKER
Henry BAKER (a.k.a. Tom Stanley)
Laura Ellen BAKER b. 1860
James Lafayette BAKER b. 1864 in Perry Co., d. 1931

I am interested in finding out more about this BRITT family, as well as the BAKER family. I have seen some research that shows an Elizabeth BRITT as the daughter of Anderson Smith BRITT and Mary Wilkes, who married an unknown BAKER. I am trying to establish whether or not my Sarah Elizabeth BRITT is one and the same as the Elizabeth BRITT, daughter of Anderson Smith BRITT.
