This particular Robert McTeer was born in Tennessee 18 Nov. 1803, probably Blount County. He married Malinda Menafee in Monroe County, on 6 Oct. 1825 (born in Va. 24 Feb 1804). He died in Illinois 22 Oct. 1885 and she died there also, on 2 Aug. 1882.
He was a son of Robert McTeer, born 28 Oct 1769 in Penn. and who died in Georgetown, SC 5 Oct. 1827, and his wife, Mary Sherrill, born 19 Sep. 1779, died 15 May 1825 in Monroe County, TN. They were married 22 Mar 1798 in Blount Co.,TN.
I have his line back a couple more generations.
