I am a great grandson of Alford Lee Newman. His mother was Martha O. Nance. Her parents were Terrell Nance and Elizabeth Oaks. They are buried in Tippah County, Ms. in the Northcross cemetery. The cemetery has long been abondoned. I have visited the graves as late as this summer. If you would like the location, please let me know.
