I'm searching for the ancestors and family of Thomas Hunter(b.1818) whose was married to Sarah Ann Godsey. I've seen one census that listed his father's birthstate as Pennsylvania, but not much else. This family lived in the bend of the Tennessee River known as Hunter's Bend (with Hunter's Bluff, Hunter's Island, Hunter's Cemetery) even prior to the formation of Meigs County.

I've seen some indication that Thomas may have been a 'junior', but nothing definitive. I also have census records naming most of his children. Any additional assistance or pointers would be greatly appreciated (before I make that vacation trip down there for courthouse/library research).
