James Cooper b. abt. 1828 in TN, died btw. 1867-1870 in TN, son of John COOPER. James married Mary A. WHITAKER in 1825 in Tishomingo Co., MS.

They were listed on the 1860 Census of McNairy Co., TN and Mary was head of household in the 1870 Census of McNairy Co., TN.

Thier children were:

Lewis b. 17 Dec 1854 in TN, md. Isabelle DYER
John b. abt. 1856 in TN
Lucinda b. abt. 1857 in TN
Manda V. b. abt. 1861 in TN
Martha A. b. abt. 1866 in TN

The children could have married in either McNairy Co., TN or Tishomingo Co., MS. I believe James died in McNairy Co., TN and is buried there.
