My great-grandmother supposedly came from Blount or McMinn County, and her father was possibly a ROBERT or JOHN WALKER, however I have no proof of this other than oral history and her naming next to oldest son JOHN WALKER FORD. My great-grand, CATHERINE ? b. ca.1837 in TN., married JAMES G. FORD of Bledsoe County TN. by 1853/54 and they move from E.TN. to AR. where they are found in 1860 Census in NW AR. Washington County, near Benton Cnty. AR. border. I would really like to find out Catherine maiden name and possibly obtain some kind of record showing who her parents are.
