Nancy Elizabeth Hicks is my ancestor. I was told that Matthew Hicks {born North Carolina 1801 and Synthia were Thomas Hick's parents. It was also told to me that Thomas and a brother {?] were in the Battle of lookout Mountain, where he deserted and joined the Army of the Cumberland.
